Wish you a protected World Turtle Day | Spiritual Inspirations from Turtles & Tortoises

23rd May is World Turtle Day… Hence today, let’s take some wonderful spiritual inspirations from turtles & tortoises!

The virtue of introversion!

The tortoise denotes the virtue of introversion… Since it can withdraw all it’s organs inside the shell when needed… And introversion is sometimes misunderstood as keeping quiet, not mixing with others, etc, which is not true… Introversion just means being connected to our true inner self & hence being in the experience of our original virtues (of peace, love & happiness) always, which actually allows us to give & express more in relations!

It’s said even if an elephant tramples over this shell of the tortoise, the shell & tortoise would remain safe… Hence, introversion (i.e., focusing on what we should do rather than what others should do) protects us from the negative influence of people & situations, however challenging they may be!

Tortoises live long… Hence, introversion (i.e., keeping attention on our thoughts) keeps our stage elevated for long durations (i.e., throughout the day!)

Indeed, it’s rightly said that Antarmukhi Sada Sukhi… i.e., the one who’s introverted is always happy!

Spiritual Inspirations from Turtles & Tortoises

Turtles live in water, while tortoises live on land… Hence, let’s become such that we remain happy in all circumstances!

Tortoises walk very slowly… Hence, let’s always keep our thoughts very soft, slow & sweet!

The shell of tortoises is very hard… Similarly, let’s always ensure a rock-solid state of mind, which never gets disturbed!

All of us know the story of the Rabbit & Tortoise, with the moral ‘Slow & Steady wins the Race’… Hence, let’s keep progressing steadily in our spiritual journey of maintaining an elevated state of mind always!

Many keep pet tortoises at their homes… Similarly, let’s become such that everyone likes being in our presence!

The skin of tortoises is like the skin of old people… Hence, let’s always give full respect & regard to the old people around us!

The wonder of Spirituality!

Some tortoises live for over 300 years, I.e., they have a very long life… Similarly, the power of meditation, by radiating very comforting vibrations to the body, increases our life-span in this body!

Scriptures mention one of the incarnations of God is in the form of a Tortoise… But God says that since He needs to talk with humans, He needs to take the support of an (old) human body to speak… Hence, let’s keep listening to this direct spiritual knowledge He’s sharing with us daily!

Conclusion (World Turtle Day)

Hence this time on World Turtle Day, let’s remain introverted i.e., connected to our true inner self & in the experience of our original virtues of peace love & happiness… This allows us to keep giving in relations always irrespective of anything, hence not only benefiting everyone around but also keeping us very full… Hence, this virtue of focusing on ourself will make us instrumental in bringing the divine land Satyuga once again!

Om Shanti!
